I won’t lie, it was a pretty long paddle up the river. Visibility was better than expected there, super stoked about that. We managed to clean up the section where we were diving, couldn’t take all the rubbish with us, but we took back what we could. Met the landowner and her two dogs, she told us some really cool stories of the area and invited us back. We also found some treasures that are definitely worth keeping once they are cleaned up. Will post them later!

We got so many great bottles I’m not even sure where to start. My personal favourites are the old Coke and Fanta bottles, though they’re not as old as some of the others we’ve found. This is our first complete Codd bottle with the marble still inside. We don’t often find them whole as back in the day they were usually smashed just to get the marble out. I love the 1916 aerated water company bottle. You can really tell its age from the base and the bubbles in the glass. The torpedo shaped bottle is one of my favourites to collect. I’ve got earlier ones that can’t stand up on their own, so this is another first for me, one with a solid base to add to the mix. Last but not least is the Redditch blob top bottle. I absolutely love blob tops, they’re so different and unique compared to most of the bottles we usually find. Photos don’t do these beauties justice! There were so many more. If I could post photos of all of them cleaned up I would, but for now watch the video to see them in their original condition (and next to a few others we found).
