It was not my fault. Yet I carry this burden. The fear if I unburden myself my mum will know. The stigma. The bullying. This whole fucking rape trial. I didn't report it. But #metoo #IBelieveHer because I want people to believe me. I don't want it to bet fault anymore
I want everyone to know what happened to me, I want everyone to know that even though I eventually let it happen, it was still rape. I want everyone to know except anyone I know. Because I am still ashamed.
Then I had to see him every day in work for a month until I left
I let it happen. I played along. Then I left. As soon as it was done he didn't care. I ran away as fast as I could manage after. Trying to hold it together.
He forced me to his room and physically stopped me leaving. His coercion tactics went on for so so long. It felt like forever. I tried so many times to leave but I couldn't. I was frightened
I was so frightened he would hurt me I let him do it. He dragged me out the taxi into his house, I begged his housemates to stop him because I knew what he wanted and I knew I didn't want it.
I didn't really know what had happened at first to be honest. I was so so ashamed, and I still feel ashamed.
This rugby rape trial had made it all come back. 2.5 years ago it happened. I didn't go to the police. He used a condom and I had no physical injuries. What was the point.
I was 19, in my first proper job. He was 36 and had always creeped me out
So basically, this Twitter is to get it off my chest. The shame, the pure shame I feel about bring raped
