How much do ableds think this costs?
@Imani_Barbarin My immediate thought is "Um..how many people are waiting for a NORMAL Wheelchair they can barely afford??"
@Imani_Barbarin They likely think we can actually afford it.
@Imani_Barbarin I’m not abled but also not in a chair - £15k?
@Imani_Barbarin Super expensive and what happens if it breaks down while going up stairs- either the person is trapped or it malfunctions and plummets them back down the stairs. Not to mention does it work on icy stairs or wet stairs or very narrow/ very steep stairs?
@Imani_Barbarin Not to mention apparently 45 minutes anytime 10 stairs or more are involved.
@Imani_Barbarin Yeah, I don't use a powered chair but you've got no frickin' hope of getting me tilted forward on that kind of incline - especially if I can't see what I'm going towards behind me! Just build ramps. It ain't that difficult.
@Imani_Barbarin I'm sure insurance will cover part of the cost 🙃🙃🙃🙃 🤬🤬🤬🤬
@Imani_Barbarin They think everybody gets a mobility device for free?
