INTO Vice President Carmel Browne welcomed delegates to the second day of the Education Conference and called for more funding and resources for teachers to implement more playful pedagogies in their classrooms.
General Secretary John Boyle emphasised the responsibility of the Department of Education to keep teachers in the country, and to provide funding so teachers can continue to specialise and upskill. John then presented this year's Bursary winners with their awards.
Huge congratulations to Georgia Goodhall, Cora Howe, Darragh McCloskey, Helen Fitzmaurice, Seán Gleasure and Mark O’Sullivan for producing such excellent research.
Dr Glenda Walsh was the final keynote speaker of this year's conference, and she delivered a fascinating presentation on the power of playful teaching and learning in practice.
