Nicotine pros: isolated nicotine is amazing for cognitive enhancements with alertness, attention, focus, retention and recall. it decreases your risk of neurodegenerative disease such as parkinsons lozenges are inexpensive (2mg is 30 cents) cons: not truly addictive (tolerance), but of course can be overdone: people using it all day long are going to have a problem with dopamine drain (de-motivation, fatigue, irritability) and vasoconstriction issues (wound healing, penis shrinking, indigestion issues, poor sleep
@MPsix8 @ProximaCB55 @PicturesFoIder Who the hell told you nicotine isn’t addictive because they lied to you
Not addictive in the sense that you need more to get the same “high” (tolerance). It’s pleasurable and enhancing like coffee and yet you feel “normal” with or without it. There is no withdrawal. Inhalation via cigarettes is a different animal than gum and lozenges. The “hit” is quick and the environmental cues are strong. Nicotine is a component of a smokers habit but these other factors are the roadblock that make smoking so hard to quit. It’s why patches and gum often fail miserably for them.
@MPsix8 @getagitated1 @ProximaCB55 @PicturesFoIder Nicotine withdrawal is awfu
@IKhoR_Slayz @getagitated1 @ProximaCB55 @PicturesFoIder Where you a smoker?
@MPsix8 @getagitated1 @ProximaCB55 @PicturesFoIder I am Rn, and trying to quit is extremely irritating, and depressing
