Crucially, each table was asked to come up with a handful of actionable, concrete steps that could be taken to improve cotton’s situation — this was a no purely academic exercise!
Ficota will follow up on some of these recommendations
It was a brilliant idea, and a big hit! The 11 topics addressed serious issues from the cotton textile value chain, and after each table spent an hour discussing their subject, a representative went to the podium and spent 5 minutes sharing the highlights of their discussions.
