50,000 confirmed and verified Russian fatalities in Ukraine is more than Russia/Soviet Union lost in all post-1945 wars combined. Moreover, as the investigators admit, their count covers nearly 50% of the real military death toll, which, therefore, may be over 100,000 dead (!). Upon that, some 23,400 forcibly mobilized men from occupied Donbas were also killed. This war is the most terrible meat grinder Europe has seen since World War II. In all, over 120,000 have been killed on the Russian side as of now since the February 2022 invasion of Ukraine. I got just one question here: WHAT THE FLYING FUCK DID THEY ALL DIE FOR?! bbc.com/news/world-688…
@IAPonomarenko This cope won’t change reality. Remember, honoring Minsk II way back in 2015 would have avoided this outcome. We’re approaching the “unlikely” stage at this point. This will end when Russian forces reach the Polish and Romanian borders.
@IAPonomarenko Yet Ukrainans are fleeing the country in record numbers 🙄 this phenomenon is so well-documented to the point of absurdity. youtu.be/KXhC8WREVKM?si…
@IAPonomarenko They died for Putin's post-Soviet glory. They died for his vanity. They died for nothing.
@IAPonomarenko That's a question for history. The question for policy makers on all sides is how to prevent the next 50,000 from dying.
@IAPonomarenko How does Putin keep Russians from protesting the war????
@IAPonomarenko Mediazona allegedly investigated cemeteries across russian regions and social media posts. Here is the thing... - approximately 10% of russian citizens, especially the poor, where mobilization is most active, have no internet. - russia has approximately 100,000 cemeteries.
@IAPonomarenko Even if the 50,000 number for Russian is correct; Still less than the 600,000 Ukrainians KIA and 1.2 million Wounded! Just look at the Ukrainian cemeteries!
