Just remarkable humility from a man whose tactics, strategy, and willingness to explore things that are counter intuitive, have been paramount to a Knicks team nailing its ceiling.

A commenter called playoff Karl-Anthony Towns “Jokic with better defense” which seemed blasphemous to me but: 1) Wemby and Towns are lapping the field these playoffs 2) Towns’ playoff EPM would be Jokic’s playoff career high 👀

Teams are not supposed to win NBA Finals games when their All-NBA player is 7-25 and they lose his minute by double digits. We talk about heroes in New York. The entire roster and coaching staff should be heralded, but if the Knicks finish this off Leon Rose deserves a statue.

Almost exactly 1 year ago they were (wrongfully) scapegoating Towns for the Knicks losing in the ECF. Now they're just GOATing him in the Finals. What a redemption arc for Karl-Anthony Towns.
The Knicks’ depth+diversity of talent is their superpower They can play fast or but also possess a dominant half court O They can surround Towns with shooting or go big and insulate Brunson with defense/rebounding Pick an area of emphasis, they have a strong correlating lineup
One of my favorite takeaways is how often the scheme has changed It's changed from Atlanta, that probably everyone knows about by now, and it changed pretty significantly in the Cleveland series. Not talked about as much. Been more freelancy as teams move their bigs off Towns
