There's a reason the faux leftists have zeroed in on door dash as an exclusive domain of worker exploitation but have none of the same energy for the exploited agricultural workers who grow and harvest our fresh produce across the entire US. Can you guess the reason?
The people who are like "but I need food" yes my dude you are so close to getting it, now keep following that thought and you'll get there someday.
@HillcrestCardCo Because it's a response to posts complaining about delivery drivers. It's part of an ongoing back and forth conversation. These online discourses have a history and context. This "same energy" framing strips everything of context, as if these topics just fall out of the sky.
@HillcrestCardCo Thank you for calling them faux leftists, because that is what they truly are. You can't be leftist, if your advocacy doesn't include disabled people (or migrants for that matter, which you are probably getting at with your statement here). You are a "liberal" at best.
@HillcrestCardCo In NYC almost all of our DDers are Latino and Senegalese immigrants.
@HillcrestCardCo lazy logic. farmhands in the US are usually of Latin or hispanic origin and are often poor enough that they speak little or no english. they are kept in conditions that make it hard to speak on their plight and, crucially, they are found in the countryside, not cities.
