Heart failure is multi-faceted, so that is why this new study published in Nutrients Journal is so impressive. In this newly published study, researchers gave people with heart failure and muscle loss (sarcopenia) a combination of high protein, fiber, omega 3s, vitamin D doses tailored to their blood level, and a Mediterranean diet. This was compared to a control group (Mediterranean diet only). The results were nothing short of remarkable. The group receiving high protein, fiber, vitamin D, omega 3s, and a Mediterranean diet had improvements in: ➡️Heart function ➡️Quality of life ➡️Improved functionality ➡️Improved nutritional status ➡️Increased muscle mass I hope that researchers in the future will follow suit. A comprehensive approach to healing for every condition is needed, not just another pharmaceutical pill. Read more: mdpi.com/2072-6643/16/1…
@HeidiHmoretti Without controlling for the method of protein preparation, the study has no validity whatsoever. It's one thing to prepare shrimp as healty scampi, quite another to bread & deep-fat fry. Same, with sunlight vs. a Big Pharma pill.
@HeidiHmoretti Also emphasize Ubiquinol (preferred form of CoQ10), L-Carnitine, and, of course magnesium.
@HeidiHmoretti I get my vitamin D checked every three months! It’s crazy how many people don’t know their number.
Lower homocysteine = use TMG as well… and increase your VitC and collagen intake… this helps to reduce any scarring internally of vessels… lots of polyphenols to heal endothelium ( blueberry, raspberry, green tea )… K2 to direct calcium to the bone and NOT your arteries… there’s plenty of good stuff people should do - and sadly DOCTORS SHOULD RECOMMEND - but have been taught not to… the system is corrupted and broken. Find each other and spread the smarter info…
@HeidiHmoretti @JulieoClaire Or you can just replace it with a new one
@HeidiHmoretti I will respond soonest getting late for me in Phuket Thailand and the melatonin in my pineal gland is starting to take over the ship.
@HeidiHmoretti I think a whole food lc/ keto diet + those other variables will do the same :) So many +50 people gets too little protein
@HeidiHmoretti 40+ year olds just lack the understanding that higher protein intake well above the RDA is necessary unless contraindicated due to a decline in protein synthesis.
