Needed to make an actually usable 'ComponentPicker' for PaperZD and ended up creating a pretty robust implementation that even works on the BlueprintEditor (with native an BP classes alike). Might be a good addition to @UnrealEngine if enough people are interested?

Been having an awful time trying to keep PaperZD updated on the @UnrealEngine marketplace, but can't due to older versions being locked away. Getting flak for stuff I already fixed. I know support for 2D isn't our forte here @TimSweeneyEpic but is there a way we can fix this?

I started this small project "#Gloomreal" because I wanted to make something to showcase the possibility of creating #retrogames in the style of Doom in the #UnrealEngine5. I used the assets from Gloom, it will be very similar but not a remake of the game.

@skx_doom The firefly fix is really effective but sadly it kills the beautiful bloom around light sources. Is there any prospect of a future fix that keeps that light bloom effect? I love this plugin btw, thanks for making it!

@Heavy_Bullets @UnrealEngine Yeah put it in a plugin and throw it up on Github. Epic tends to undervalue these kinds of things... best to just put it out there and see what happens. Its crazy the engine doesn't have a default way of doing this.

I'm looking for a switch like this, but one that is absolutely, comically massive. Just enormous. An absolute fuckin' unit of a switch.
@Heavy_Bullets On the indie level, I think it's just all some devs know, not to have them. Elsewhere: 1. Design and art is usually split up at the AAA level. 2. There's an up-front cost to developing these tools (but it's a great investment) 3. AAA often has a lot of existing workflow baggage.
@Heavy_Bullets @andorade If you do one roundtrip by shinkansen it is worth it (it is not cheap), and you also get to use the yamanote line (imagine Vespucio but it is a metro line instead of a highway).
