MBChB is one of the most useless courses currently. Why would somebody spend 6 years in school and 1 year in internship, spend so much financial money, only to become jobless in Kenya?
Out of about 17,000 registered Medical Officers, only 5,000 are employed, meaning about 70.6% are unemployed.
Clinical Medicine is one of the most employable courses and diverse in Kenya, better than MBChB
@MiskellahMD I am happy that COs makes some learned individuals have sleepless nights, take their time to write twits. Don't tire!the lesser the noise, the lesser the significance and impacts. Keep them coming!.
My friend, @MiskellahMD, dismissing BSc Clinical Medicine and other regulated health professional degrees as “useless” is not bold honesty; it is factually wrong, defective, professionally irresponsible, and beneath the leadership position you hold at @kmpdu.
You are not the overall prefect of Kenya’s health sector, nor the sole custodian of knowledge. Clinical Officers are a legally regulated, licensed, specialized, and expanding profession serving Kenyans across the country.
Your constant belittling of other cadres does not make you superior; it only exposes professional chauvinism and a tired superiority complex. No cadre has a monopoly on intellect, competence, legitimacy, or service.
Clinical Officers existed long before your reckless commentary and will thrive long after you and your generation. Respect other professions, respect the facts, and stop misleading young people with swagger masquerading as career guidance. @MOH_Kenya@kUCOofficial@KCOA_Official
Dear younger brothers and sisters,Parents and guardians,IGNORE those useless degree courses called BSc Clinical Medicine,BSc Oral Health,BSc Optometry,BSc Ophthalmology and all the BSc that have Diploma options in KMTC!!
You are going to waste your four years with NOTHING
The Ministry of Health should establish a structured stipend for medical students from the 4th year of training onwards.
By then, clinical rotations are full-time. Students spend long hours in wards, clinics, theatre & on call, contributing to patient care while facing significant financial strain.
Apply for as many jobs as you can. Target roles that are above your qualification. Go to the interviews that scare you. You will gain so much confidence from that experiece that you'll naturally become a better candidate. This is one of the things that job hunting taught me.
She’s just trying to lose weight man
And the loose skin is her battle scars . Once’s she gets her ideal weight then she can figure out what to do with it .
She’s already putting in the work and are over here body shaming her 🚮
Kamene Goro needs to take a break from social media completely to fully regain her health and looks back.
Look at the thighs! She's become a faded Middle Aged once a very beautiful woman and how her expression lifeless and a miserable looking.
That's the look of “the games
I have observed that in medicine, the most learned are often the most humble.
The deeper one’s knowledge, the greater the appreciation of how much remains unknown.
By contrast, those with only shallow knowledge are often the loudest, most dismissive & quickest to bully others.
True expertise breeds humility; insecurity often masquerades as arrogance.
Take a person like Dr Bundi Karau- humble to the core.
My favorite line from Atomic Habits has been living in my head rent-free:
“It doesn’t make sense to continue wanting something if you’re not willing to do what it takes to get it. If you don’t want to live the lifestyle, then release yourself from the desire. To crave the result but not the process is to guarantee disappointment.”
Clinical Officers in Kenya are frontline healthcare workers who diagnose illnesses,
treat patients,
perform minor procedures,
and save lives especially in rural areas where doctors are few. #Healthcare#Kenya#COs@amerix
