An Indian resident of Brampton who came to the city a year ago says that he was surprised how many Indians live in Brampton and that there are too many Indians in the city. Another person who joins the conversation said that Brampton feels like "mini India".
@Harry__Faulkner Surrey and Abbotsford are same thing.
@Harry__Faulkner Brampton has been called Bramladesh for a couple of decades for a reason. 🤔
@Harry__Faulkner Since the pandemic, my city went from being a very Anishinabe city to an Indian city. We're once again the minority (in our own Treaty Area). Not one frontline worker at the mall, drive-thrus, restaurants, convenience stores or Shoppers are white anymore. Where are they gone?
@Harry__Faulkner Even our one and only theatre, a SilverCity, has one or two hindi movies playing each week. A theatre with only 12 screens in a city with barely more than 100k population. I have culture shock in my own hometown.
@Harry__Faulkner The entire country is feeling like this.
@Harry__Faulkner I guess for people who want to feel like they still live India it is a good thing and the worst for those who move to Canada to actually live in Canada
@Harry__Faulkner Brampton is a very small piece of land. If you don’t want to live there just leave. You can live wherever you want. Canada is huge.
@Harry__Faulkner Yeah, my neighborhood was a nice little place with a man made lake, really quite on the outskirts of the city until about 4 or 5 years ago. Now it's little india. They're having a war in our streets, an 11-year old was murdered, an indian tried to run me off the road 3 .....
@Harry__Faulkner Ya'll 'Canadians' need to start making babies and quick. It's game over for ya'll Karens.
@Harry__Faulkner Mass immigration works against integration and opens the door for xenophobia and tribalism. The solution is to stop culturally enclaving and accept ourselves as individuals, creating a friendlier integrative atmosphere.
