Despite the ongoing public attacks and defamatory statements from the other Yescoin, we have consistently sought to resolve this matter amicably. We are concerned that their continued public attacks and defamation could severely damage our reputation, harming not only us but also the broader community. This situation is unjust and threatens to undermine all the positive contributions we have made. As the original creators of Yescoin, we took the necessary step of filing the trademark. From the very first day we filed, we notified the other Yescoin of our actions. It is important to highlight that no opposition to our trademark was filed within the deadline, which expired on July 12, 2024. Additionally, it’s worth noting that the filing was not done in some obscure jurisdiction, but in one of the most reputable in the world the UK, recognized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). The other Yescoin was aware of this from day one. We made multiple public posts, which garnered hundreds of thousands of views, clearly stating that we had filed the trademark. Moreover, they themselves made a public post acknowledging that they were fully aware of the trademark filing. At that moment, instead of merely making a post, they had the opportunity to file an opposition and secure the exclusive right to the name Yescoin. They chose not to do so because they knew they couldn't win the opposition. Given all this, they cannot justifiably complain now that we are seeking the exclusive right to use our own name. That said, as the situation continues to escalate, we are now prepared to take legal action and do whatever is necessary to protect our community and our integrity.
