building agents is mostly janitorial work for distributed state machines, and the ai coordinator I shipped came down to these pieces. 1. the prompt (the short part) 2. multi-replica cancellation fences for aborted streams 3. sql replay gates across edge nodes 377 files modified to ship it, and the prompt took twenty minutes. the other three weeks went into the fences and the gates. skip them and an aborted stream can leave ghost state across edge nodes.
built guiri.app to help people navigate spain. turns out 'intuitive design' sometimes means understanding bureaucracy first, then making it less painful. not frictionless. just less painful.
product decision on guiri.app: killed translation for Spanish administrative terms. nobody at the extranjería knows what a "town hall registry sheet" is. kept raw Spanish terms across all 11 languages. over-translating just manufactured bugs at the appointment window.
