One of the things I love about my local group is they are oblivious to the dumpster fire shit show drama side of the hobby and could care less. They show up, play our game, have some laughs, and head home until the next TTRPG steak dinner is prepared. 😎
@HailOrcusdorkus Only one person in my three groups follows anything on social media. And no, they aren’t all old people.
@HailOrcusdorkus YUP - I avoid the show as much as possible. I make games so people can have FUN.
@HailOrcusdorkus I think most are like this. Twitter = vocal minority.
@HailOrcusdorkus Who cares about any of that nonsense? Buy used AD&D books and used OG (no reprints!) modules. Get some dice. Play a bit. Buy more modules or start DIY your own adventures. D&D is older than computers. Screw Hasbro. Forget 5e. Roll dice. Have fun.
@HailOrcusdorkus Joe Pantoliano as Cypher savoring a virtual steak for the win.
@HailOrcusdorkus My players too. They actually get annoyed when I yell them about the drama on ttrpg twitter.
@HailOrcusdorkus This, my group is the same. Or if they are aware of it they don't say anything. Which just makes everything much more enjoyable.
