I enjoy Heather Cox Richardson’s bite-sized podcasts, with their combination of history and political analysis, very much. Most run 8-12 minutes. Very incisive. My only problem is the ever-more annoying banjo lick that introduces each one.
@StephenKing Should sound guy cut? Replace? Open to suggestions. I confess I've left that part to others and just focused on the reading.
@HC_Richardson @StephenKing Should be an electric guitar rif of the Star Spangled Banner.
@HC_Richardson @StephenKing The obvious solution is that Stephen King volunteers to be your music supervisor.
@HC_Richardson @StephenKing Ask Steve Martin to do it
@HC_Richardson @StephenKing Heather’s written newsletter is even better, she introduces historical facts in each and every one.
@HC_Richardson @StephenKing I don’t mind the banjo — and even if I did, it would be sooooo worth it for your podcast! I’ll be forever grateful that @paulapoundstone had you on her show #NobodyListensToPaulaPoundstone from @PoundstoneInst to introduce me to your podcast!
@HC_Richardson @StephenKing Yes; please do cut that music! You on the other hand are wonderful
@HC_Richardson @StephenKing You really don’t need any opening music, but anything is tolerated just to listen to you speak.
@HC_Richardson @StephenKing It’s not often Stephen King & I disagree, but… I’m good with the banjo intro.
@HC_Richardson @StephenKing I’m just here in awe of two of my favorites conversing.
