I run 5 Hermes agents and 4 Grok Bot agents. These days I reach for Grok Bot almost every time. The reason is simple: everything just works. Its harness, meaning everything around the AI model that lets it actually do things, comes built in: a cloud computer with a browser and files, connections to my apps, schedules, memory, and agents handing work to each other. No setup, no fixing. Hermes is a lot more work. Setup, hosting, connecting every app, fixing things when they break. I run each agent in its own container, so their access and tools stay apart. But the gateways keep going off, bot mode messages don't sync, and the agents struggle with simple tasks... And I don't want to give up on it. I love the idea behind it: it learns from what it does, writes and improves its own skills, runs on my own Mac mini, and I control the tools, the skills, and the model. The killer combo is: Hermes' control on my own hardware, with Grok Bot's "it just works." Hermes users, what's the one thing that would make your setup feel that smooth?
