And ... At 6.45 the #RwandaBill debate starts again! The Commons have taken out all four of the amendments we voted through y'day. We will try to put two more back in. One on the necessity to update the issue of Rwanda's safety, if circumstances change (surely necessary?!?) 1/2
And the second, of not allowing those agents and allies who have helped us in conflicts, who have served with us, to be sent to Rwanda. Both come under the headline of utterly reasonable and compassionate. But this Govt is corrupt and stupid and cruel. How did we get here? 2/2
@GreenJennyJones 🤔how many of those millions are gonna be syphoned thru companies house to off shore trusts.
@GreenJennyJones Thank you again for your support 🙏 we are indebted to these agents and allis. I pray decency will prevail with you at the helm.
@GreenJennyJones We made promises to them, and they served beside our military risking not only their lives but also their families. The evacuation was an almighty screw-up that should have been started months before. Then we just abandoned them, and we've washed our hands of the Afghan people.
@GreenJennyJones Thank you. The bill in its entirety is cruel, will achieve nothing. The two remaining amendments are surely impossible to argue against. PS Tory MPs who enabled the rise of Johnson have much to answer for. Sunak is unfathomable. #GTTONow
@GreenJennyJones Disingenuous about the Afghans of course. If they come here illegally then they should be treated the same as any illegal refugee
