Please don't do this Even if there's nothing behind your decision to sit next to me on an otherwise empty bus, it immediately puts me on edge I can't be alone in this, surely
Ps was in my gym gear, not wearing my collar, so he wasn't sitting next to me for a chat about something having seen my collar- which has happened before and which I am happy to do
@GraceREThomas 100% agree. It’s one of the big reasons I can’t use public transport independently anymore and that makes me so sad 😞
@GraceREThomas That is so horrible and intrusive. I’d have been totally on edge. . Glad you had a good gym session but it doesn’t take away from the fact women and girls should never have to cope with this. Take care of yourself xx
@GraceREThomas It is important to report anything that makes you feel uncomfortable. Buses fall under the jurisdiction of local police. This bus appears to be from London, @MetCC, refer to the previous post. If this happens on a tube or train, please report to us by texting 61016.
@GraceREThomas That’s a violation of an unwritten universal rules…and when this rule is broken, you have a right to be concerned, creeped out, and be nervous.
@GraceREThomas I’ve learnt to sit on the aisle seat precisely to avoid this sort of creepiness when a bus/train carriage is pretty empty.
