Legislators are proposing a $2.6 billion tax increase by expanding the sales tax to hundreds of essential services. This one tax hike would destroy everything we’ve done for the past five years to turn our economy around. We've come too far to turn back the clock.
@GovLarryHogan Stick with your plan Governor Hogan there are too many people leaving Maryland already and another tax increase will only make matters worse
@GovLarryHogan You are gonna need to link us to more information than that. Like a list of these essential services. I worry about what your definition of “essential” is, keeping in mind that tax dollars are meant to go to essential services.
@GovLarryHogan Ok Larry. This what is going to happen to this guy from Montgomery county idea. People will go to private independent craftsman, and skilled trades workers completely outside the sale's taxes and pay cash. Hire private contractor and handyman services. That doesn't even pay taxes
@GovLarryHogan This will completely hurt the hardwork u have done 4 the small business owners&contractors& production liability insurance will decline, unemployment insurance will take a dive , believe me they are out there now employing undocumented immigrants under the table, MD will loose bid
@GovLarryHogan Hold the line and remind the controller of Maryland this is a huge red flag for the hardworking people of Maryland. United we stand with you Larry Hogan Maryland best Dam Governor.😀🇺🇸
@GovLarryHogan #NoNewMarylandTaxes @GovLarryHogan please save us from the crazy Maryland politicians that are trying to take away more of our hard earned money to pour into failed public schools. #SchoolChoice and #SchoolVouchers work. It’s time to try something new
@GovLarryHogan The Legislators need to work FOR MDers for a change. 'Would love to turn this state RED. But it will never happen with PG, Mont, Howard Counties, and Balto City.
@GovLarryHogan It’s become increasingly clear that Maryland can’t fund Kirwan without massive tax increase. Proponents promised they wouldn’t consider increasing income or sales tax. Promises made, promises broken.
