@GenePark Yeah, the dubber for Goku , Laura Torres, said that she was thinking of his own grandpa (which had passed away) when recording this scene , it really shows
@GenePark The power of Laura Torres. Absolute genius of voice acting.
@GenePark thats why i never like english dubs, the ones from latam are way better, i think cuz back then dubing the movies or cartoons where seing as the same prestige while on america they just started to take serious dub in the last 2 decades, but it evolve more cartoonish sounding
@GenePark I'll be honest, the entierty of DB and DBZ hit as hard as they did in Mexico due to the high quality dub we got.
@GenePark All the folks who never watched Dragon Ball missed some of the best of the manga. Seriously, if youre a Dragon Ball fan you owe it to yourself to watch Dragon Ball.
@GenePark Now I understand why Latinos love dragonball so much the dubs are so good
@GenePark The spanish sub of DB is absolutely legendary. Goku’s voice actor is a star in LATAM 💙🧡
@GenePark The English dub of this scene is legitimately the worst one, and I feel awful for saying that. But it's true. Every other dub I've seen they perfectly convey the emotion Goku is feeling in the moment. You can literally feel his joy emanating from the words spoken. 🥹
@GenePark The Dubs of Dragon Ball, saint seiya, and other of the time in Latam were top notch, they sometimes took liberties, but never missed the essence of the message, recently I saw some of that still in the latam dub of komi san and was kind of nostalgic tbh
