The Molly Pitcher Service Area reopened today after being closed 10 months for extensive renovations. Food includes Shake Shack, Panda Express, Subway, and Starbucks. This makes 8 of 12 Turnpike service area facilities to have been replaced or significantly rehabbed since 2015.

Today in NJ history: June 12,1968: The Garden State Arts Center, an amphitheater designed by noted modernist architect Edward Durell Stone and located off the Garden State Parkway, opened with a program featuring pianist Van Cliburn. Later in the month Judy Garland performed.

@LukeEpplin Luke, I was on the Garden State Parkway for the first time in a couple of years and saw they renamed the Brookdale Rest Stop to "Larry Doby"! Good to see that NJ remembers him!
