Technicians in pharmacies and dental hygienists are to be allowed to supply certain medicines and treatments to patients in the future. The government said it will help to speed up access to care.
@GMB @Hardeep216 Fantastic to see news coverage, pharmacy technicians are regulated and able to provide more services to complement what’s provided by pharmacists and other healthcare professionals. Untapped potential of a 25k professional group to support safe access to medicines for patients👍
@GMB Pharmacies are on their knees at the moment & Technicians are severely underpaid and overworked, most not even getting a break & expected to work 12 hour shifts.
@GMB @drbobgill A cause a great many misdiagnoses and possible problems in future, non qualified doing doctors work is doom to cost at worst people's lives
@GMB No disrespect to them, what will they know that we don’t know by the time we need medical advice! Usually at that point we need to see/speak to a Dr!
@GMB It will also mean they go to a Dr later than they otherwise would. In any case, since it took me 3 pharmacys to get a course of antiB a month ago....
@GMB She is right! Services shouldn’t have moved outside the GP practice. All they’re doing is trying to pass the buckle the time.
@GMB As the UK CONservative GOVERNMENT have destroyed the NHS.....
