When people search recent news and events on Big Tech search sites, results are riddled with propaganda and hit pieces. When you distort results that badly, can you really still call them search engines? People want balanced results from all angles, to make their own decisions.
Many people complain search engines generally don't produce the results they want, or results that were previously visible are either removed or pushed back in the results. This is the result of bias, these aren't really "search engines" they take popular keywords and filter them
Google, Bing, and several other big search sites will pick and choose winners and losers based on who meets their ideological criteria. That's why results they don't favor are moved several pages back or don't show in results at all, regardless of their traffic and engagement.
