AI exclusivity is starting. Which harnesses can natively run which models, which can not. More reason for OpenSource overall again. Also, Astra is coming soon

Amazing write up of the effect of debt markets and availability of capital for normal businesss because of the AI CapeX build out. In short we will see a drying up of financing options for normal businesses if data center buildouts can cover the majority of the market
a surprise I think is coming the quick payback periods and extraordinarily high IRR for AI infrastructure, even at monumental scale, will push up cost of capital sufficient to push many traditional businesses into the abyss, even those without obvious direct AI counter-exposure
@JinjingLiang Well whatever they do, in this case the customer loose a little bit. However with your own harness outside of cursor and OpenSource you can run any model however you want. So another strong argument for Hermes and Pi and OSS

@Yuchenj_UW OpenSource makes more and more sense everyday. Control, Price, Data. If you are a company and now your OpenAi model based workflow gets cut out you need to re-iterate.

It’s still worth around $30b, it’s in fact a harness/AI company without its own model that is focused on research, finance tasks and has built bespoke workflows for it. It used to be fully free for students so people could try out AI. It lost against anthorpic/OpenAi in terms of publicity but it has a remote computer, always on agents etc and generally some good features. I don’t use it all but it’s more than people think
Na they have some set planets but majority was procedural and that’s why it was boring and repetitive. I agree with you that there are amazing procedural titles like Minecraft and NMS and so on but starfield was the prime example how to not do it. It killed ALL exploration, super unfunny to visit the same outpost on a slightly varied planet 50x
