NASCAR just announced it is updating the brake rule for Phoenix. Remember Gateway with all the brake issues there? NASCAR says at Phoenix this weekend, teams "will be given the option to remove and replace front brake rotors and pads only" after practice on Saturday. Those are the only changes that can be made to the brakes. NASCAR also says it will allow teams to inspect rear rotors on Sunday morning but that "any subsequent rotor issues found at that time will managed on a case-by-case basis."
Freddie Kraft says on the newest 'Door Bumper Clear' that Alex Bowman felt so bad that he went to the garage to apologize to everyone working on Wallace's and Byron's cars. He also texted Wallace and Kraft. "I said, 'I'm honestly glad we were there because if we weren't there, you're going ot hit the wall a lot harder.'"
