He’s de-aging before our eyes
@JackPosobiec He is well loved, that’s for sure.
'He pisses off all the people I can't stand' ... That's the core MAGA message. MAGA is all about hate. There is absolutely no joy, happiness, pleasure, positivity, or progress in the MAGA world view. Nearly everything is about something or someone you're against. You don't like Taylor Swift? Let's all have a boycott. You don't like Starbucks? Let's all make sure they'll go bankrupt. You don't like the Bidens, Obama, Bill Barr, Liz Cheney, Fauci, Jon Stewart, Oprah, the media, Mayorkas, Pelosi, Jack Smith, or - more recently - Merchan? Fine. Let's impeach them all. After all, we hate them, so let'em have it. Being MAGA also means hating such niceties as facts, common sense, and science. Instead, MAGA relies on Q's conspiracy theories on X, on nonsense from Fox, and lies told by Tucker and Trump. And no matter how outlandish the theory, or how far-fetched the lie, nobody gives a hoot. Nobody even cares to examine any of the sometimes ridiculous claims, simply because the claims align with what MAGA happens to hold as true. MAGA also means only liking politicians who do exactly what MAGA wants. If they stray from the straight and narrow, they're doomed. Examples in point are Mike Pence, Kevin McCarthy, and Mike Johnson. And no, they're not traitors. They - like nearly all politicians - are elected public servants, and if you don't like what they do, don't threaten to hang them. Vote for other politicians, or run for office yourself. But if you're MAGA, you won't, because you hate 'the Deep State', that most elusive of fickle and frightening creatures, so rarely seen as to be utterly fictitious and non-existent, and you hate the Deep State even more intensely than you hate Pence, Disney, Hunter, Johnson, Stormy, and all the rest of the traitors, which they MUST be because Trump claims they are, and they are not after him, but after you, and he's only standing in their way, and if Trump says so, it must be true. Because Trump says it is. So it must be. Because … But what if it isn't? What if Trump is wrong? What if they're actually really coming for Trump for some reason or other? What if it isn’t simply election interference, but a solid case of Trump having broken the law? It IS possible. Realizing that, however, would require a level of introspection beyond the reach of most of the MAGA crowd. Also, that would mean being against Trump, and Trump is the one single thing no MAGA opposes. They're all in favor of him, and against everything else. In fact, they hate everything else with a hatred so intense and all-consuming that it extinguishes every ray of joy, every shimmer of hope, and, on particularly bad days, even the sun. That officially makes MAGA a death cult. Not only because everything Trump touches, dies (It does. Check e.g. nearly every business he ever touched, up to and including Truth (oh, the irony of that name) Social which is currently circling the sink and headed for the drain), but also because nothing grows from hate, except more hate. And don't blame your hatred on Dems, Libs, communists, socialists, dissenters, people of color, immigrants, other religions, or 'pedos', i.e. everyone else you dislike or disagree with, but can't fit into any other category. Blame it on Trump. He sows hate. He breathes strife. He thrives on conflict. Without those, he's nothing. Also, ask him what he'll offer in place of ObamaCare. Ask him exactly how he intends to make peace between Russia and Ukraine. Ask him precisely how he intends to ensure cheap gas. Ask him just what he has to offer instead of revenge and retribution. Ask for the specific plan behind any of the claims he makes. Wanna know what happens then? Nothing. Nothing is what Trump has to offer. But don't take my word for it. The media has covered him extensively over the past ten years, so sift through his speeches, slo-mo the YouTube recordings of his rallies, and search any media outlet with a fine-tooth comb and see what comes up. Nothing does. That's because Trump has no plan. No visions. No hopes for that shining city upon a hill. He’s got nothing but hate, and hate is what MAGA is all about. MAGA is not a revolution. It's not a particularly fine form of conservatism. It's not patriotism. It's not a movement against the Deep State. It's people driven by a common hatred. They simply all hate the same things, and that's what keeps them together. MAGA will die, though. All cults do. All radical movements do, and peace, progress, and sanity will once again prevail. In the words of Ronald Reagan, all great change in America begins at the dinner table, so while there's still time, sit down, break bread, and debate whether you will join Trump as he drives the Right into the ground, sowing hate, breathing strife, and thriving on conflict, or you'll want to be remembered for your contribution to peace, progress, and sanity? The choice is yours. The future will thank you for choosing wisely.
