Arid regions are becoming more productive, opening up new potential for agriculture and human opportunity. This carbon dividend is a boon for the Global South that rarely makes the evening news. Why are we planning to spend $275 trillion (McKinsey report, 2022) in the costly ordeal to reach net zero by 2050. The Earth is already responding with self-limiting, life-sustaining greening?
