it's been almost 30 years and i swear to god i could not tell you if the trade federation is pro- or anti-trade

I OWN A SHOUSE!!!!! ever since i was a kid i have been saving up as much money as possible to work towards the dream of buying a permanent home for my whole family to live in happily and safely! and finally, i have done it!!! it is true that VTubing saved my life, but it has also done unbelievable things for my entire family. without the kindness, love, and support of shondophrenics, my dreams wouldn't be possible, so sincerely and from the bottom of my heart: thank you!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
My favourite response has been people gaslighting that the Plinkett reviews were only satire and not to be taken seriously, when we all know they drove online and mainstream discourse about the Prequels from 2009-2017. Every YouTube critique of the Prequels opened with giving credit to Plinkett, then regurgitated his arguments without the joke gimmick. JJ Abrams and Simon Pegg saw them and agreed with them, then tried to mould TFA to what they thought a fan like him would want. Pegg even shared the original TPM review when it came out in 2009, which is probably why it got so popular.
The Plinkett Reviews are riddled with the most bad faith arguments against the Prequels possible, which permanently seeded the discussion Which is a shame, because they butchered online discourse to use the fruits of their low quality pot shots as valid criticism in perpetuity

Gotta be honest, rewatching the Plinkett review of the Phantom Menace and it's the worst film criticism I've ever seen. I can't believe it's so bad. Within the first fifteen minutes, he's complaining that he doesn't understand why an organisation called the Trade Federation would want to blockade trade despite it literally being explained in the opening crawl. He also can't wrap his head around why the Trade Federation would have an army. I think Mike might actually be retarded. Total Lucas Domination.

@mariofan48 Of the games released between 2020 and now, nothing is of the same caliber, quality, or artistic vision as Expedition 33. It is wholly unique, and uniquely exceptional by any metric you care to use. Not to say nothing can beat it just that it's the best right now.

I've put 16 hours into the BF6 Beta. My thoughts are that it's...fine. It's okay. It does nothing that other Battlefield games do better and the massive downgrade in gunplay (random bullet spray is back) and lack of mechanics from predecessors dilute the experience. Many lessons learned from previous Battlefield games simply are not implemented here. It's just...fine. It feels like a Battlefield game, just not a particularly noteworthy one. Obviously this is a tentative assessment since it's only a Beta, but if it isn't fair to criticize a Beta, it isn't fair to praise it either. When the full game is out, we'll see what they've learned and what they have in store for the full experience.

My initial reaction to the Trump/Zelensky spat was based on the short clip. I've had a chance to watch the entire 53-minute press conference with Zelensky and Trump. It's painful but I take back what I said earlier. Zelensky decided to attack Vance unnecessarily. He totally messed this up. Yes, Vance played to the gallery afterwards but he was also correct: litigating this stuff in front of the media was really dumb. Really poor from Zelensky - I hope he can see sense, apologise and get a deal for his country. This was not smart.
