@analyzingfutbol Good news for us ahead of our game against them on Sunday. I guess this shows the risk of offloading players before confirming their replacement.
@BenDrawty Especially when you consider that Caicedo picked up an injury against Brighton, leaves them quite short in midfield if he's out injured for any length of time.
@FPLfrasier It's more disappointing that City were ok with a loan+obligation & we walked away. Depends on how much the obligation was for of course, but if it was £50M or less, RAN would have been a very solid signing. Hopefully we find out what the obligation is, I'd be interested to know.

@Muppetiers If Utd genuinely have a goal of winning the title in '28, this window was not enough. We've seen how strong Arsenal have had to be depth-wise to win the title; if you want to win top honours, you can't have a safety first transfer strategy a year before going for the title.
@Adroit_Cadet We obviously don't yet know what the buy obligation was for Ait-Nouri,but if it was £50M or under, then Utd really should have done that deal; it would've been good value in this market for a good attacking LB. Oh well, hopefully Carrick & the squad can get us through the season.
@__scottsaunders It's crazy that so many clubs leave these deals so late. I still can't quite get my head around Utd not proceeding with the Ait-Nouri deal (unless City were asking for a £50M+ buy obligation), he actually would have been a good attacking LB signing alternative to Hall. Poor.
@HarshKapoor_ Balde I can understand, but given that City were willing accept a loan + buy obligation today & we didn't take it, is shocking if the obligation is £50M or lower. RAN is a very good attacking full back & is a fine alternative to Hall (and there's no guarantee we get him in 2027)🤦
@FrankEra_@DanyalHKhan What? RAN is a good attacking fullback, that is incredibly naive from Utd, he’d have been a very good alternative to Hall (who we have no guarantee of buying next summer). Deary me.
@__scottsaunders They know Zirkzee will hardly play and are praying that he ups his value at Everton. If there’s no replacement ST or another wide player to cover Mbeumo, they are taking a gargantuan risk. Grim.
@Altgthr At least JD is a striker, Zirkzee is just going to rot on the bench all season, his value tanking & Carrick picking others over him to cover for Sesko.
@__scottsaunders What on earth are they doing, was there anyone planning for alternative transfers to Lewis Hall that weren’t a loan deal? I think it’s time for the DOF to be removed, it’s obviously a scattergun approach, we need someone who has experience at a top level club.
@Ankaman616 C with UCL secured,we should've been looking to do a bit more than the bare minimum of rebuilding midfield & a stronger back up GK. If Lewis Hall is to be persued in 2027,then I'm sure there were plenty of LB options for the club to get now, that could be a back up to Hall in '27.
@FrankEra_ I think that's a fair judgement; there should have been more signings, but this squad is also of a higher quality than it was 2 years ago. Hopefully we have luck on our side when it comes to form and injuries.
@FrankEra_ Sounds a bit like Sesko all those years ago, Utd wouldn't budge on £1M valuation and he was sold to another team for £2M; hopefully we don't end up buying Page for £80M in 5 years time.
