@LStranackNutt Absolutely. Even a couple seconds for a rating are nice, but any sort of review is great. It doesn’t have to be positive at all, just be specific enough that somebody with different/similar tastes can try to superimpose their own on top of it.

Depends what the story was going for. Some authors have intentionally window-pane prose, others are trying to build stained glass windows to look at the story through. If you are trying for B and your prose isn’t up to it, it becomes a disaster. If your prose is merely a vehicle to xonvey your story or world, you can get away with quite a lot. (Like your example, or Twilight, Harry Potter etc. )

@nafkadisquiet Try Different Seasons by Stephen King. Four novellas in one book, one for each season. Two of them you probably know as movies and three are definite 10/10s… beautifully written and very efficient.

@1_more_paige Legitimate ask. Have you read Warbreaker? Not technically romantasy but very wholesome relationships. Yumi and the Nightmare Painter is also extremely cute. You can’t go wrong with Brandon. He does no spice at all and the fantasy part is obviously on point.
