The market makes no sense. Fundamentally nothing has changed in the last month yet the market is up. Do fundamentals still matter?
Yea, I started the same way. Became a CPA because I thought I would really understand financial statements and become a better investor. Then I started studying technicals and the blend of fundamentals with technicals really helped me. Would recommend adding a little bit of technicals into your assessment. @CMTAssociation has a great podcast dedicated to bridging the gap between fundamentals and technicals. open.spotify.com/episode/5ztUMZ…
@FiSurgi this is equivalent to a third year med student observing board certified surgeons and saying their behavior makes no sense.
@FiSurgi It never makes sense 🤣 I'm not really smart enough to have an opinion on all the macro variables at play and what I think the market should be doing...I just go where the cheese is at 🧀
@FiSurgi Anything worth fundamentally investing in is worth deploying automated trading strategies that rely on technical analysis. Most of these "algos" utilize $DXY as an inversely correlated input variable. Dollar down, stonks up.
@FiSurgi Monthly data is a total and utter distraction. See here 👇
@FiSurgi Paraphrasing a wise old sage, the market seems designed to confuse the most participants possible. That said, it's also true the market tends to anticipate the economy's direction, not vice versa. I've found that mitigates some (but not all) of the mystery of market behavior.
@FiSurgi Liquidity. Fed has turned market into a liquidity gauge. 300 bill got injected via BTFP. Imo, really that simple. Other than that I’m with you. But things have changed. They continue to deteriorate. Felt exactly same way in 08. Market oblivious to problem til day Lehman failed
