The San Mateo County Pre-Hospital Emergency Services Group, referred to as the Joint Powers Authority, has awarded Federal Engineering, Inc. a contract for consulting services. The JPA is responsible for the radio system used by its member fire agencies and is organized to provide fire, paramedic, and first response medical services through a Fire Company-based model. It operates countywide under a direct contract with the San Mateo County Health Department and is divided into 5 zones. These zones are the South Zone, Central Zone, North Zone, Coastal Zone, and the Countywide Zone, which is intertwined with the first three zones. Santa Fe County, New Mexico, has awarded Federal Engineering, Inc. two consulting contracts to conduct a comprehensive Unification Assessment of the emergency communications centers in Santa Fe, Rio Arriba, and Torrance counties. Initiated by the Santa Fe Regional Emergency Communications Center (RECC), the assessment will evaluate the feasibility of unifying services among the Santa Fe RECC, the Española Rio Arriba 911 Center, and the Torrance County Dispatch Center. The City of Staunton, Virginia, has selected Federal Engineering, Inc. to support the modernization and procurement of its next-generation public safety systems, including Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Police Records Management System (RMS), mobile field reporting, and Mobile CAD functionality. Staunton’s E-911 Center serves as the primary Public Safety Answering Point and dispatch center for multiple agencies, including the Staunton Police Department, Staunton Fire Department, Staunton-Augusta Rescue Squad, Staunton City Sheriff, Augusta County Fire Department, and additional external partners. The City is seeking to replace its existing systems with an integrated platform that improves operational coordination, data integrity, and long-term system sustainability.
