Using insurance for labs often costs MORE than paying cash through Direct Primary Care. Same tests. Lower prices. No surprise bills. This model exists right here in Lansing. Michigan

@notarob98255627 @mcuban I can still be a better primary care to those people than what they can get in 10 min visits on over scheduled insurance dependent offices. Just fyi we do Robin-hood style scholarship care for 10-15%of people

@smootholdfart @keegan_tweets That’s like that patient that wants to pay for appendix out but then wants you to get breast implants liposuction and that mole from the shoulder removed in the same visit and no extra fee. Right? How do you like that ?

@keegan_tweets @captainadam That’s how most start . You just cannot see many people and answer the phone and do paperwork at the same time for yourself . Most leverage technology to the max but we all need a team to be more effective on delivering care .

@mcuban Patients are noticing and they need to know there are options-like DPC . There is a critical mass and a tipping point. The true caregivers- doctors and nurses , PT , RT etc are slowly finding out there are other options than working for the monster ‘ integrated HC corp’.

@krajabi @mcuban DPC doc here: patient are not healthier, but are sure more invested in their healthcare. We know that people that are paying are paying attention. However as a doctor I get to do more medicine and refer less , advocate for my patients better and truly team up with them .

@mcuban @notarob98255627 Money direct to patients will put the decision in their hands, allowing the patient to choose where to go for their care - no more insurers and health corporations admins restricting where you can get your blood pressure checked and blood drawn . ( aka where funds are redirected)

( and even if would be is nothing wrong with cash) DPC Is direct relationship patient physicians without middle man ( that takes a hefty fee) ; patients pay with credit card or direct bank transfer or FSH/ HSA . Less than 1%is cash pay actually.

@ciscothedude @mcuban Price transparency isn’t an antitrust issue. DPC doctors sharing their own pricing or helping patients find cash rates is consumer advocacy—not price-fixing. Antitrust laws apply to collusion, not transparency.
