I want to thank @DrFullertonMPP, Canada's only LTC Minister. It takes gut to admit that Ontario's long-term care system is 'broken' + commit to reviewing and fixing it once + for all; but rightly stating her focus right now is to protect and save the lives of residents + workers.
Ontario is introducing temporary pandemic pay for our frontline heroes in long-term care. Eligible workers will receive $4/hr worked on top of existing hourly wages + a lump sum payment of $250/month for 4 months. Read more at news.ontario.ca/m/56768 #COVID19
