Turtles passed the transfer & conflict tests in our experiment! They did not stick to certain continuous quantities, and they knew they should choose the more! Turtle’s quantitative performance followed Weber’s law and their daily progress showed they have learning ability. (2/3)

@benjamin_lancer @SashaPrasad_ Speaking precisely, what our turtles showed was "continuous quantitative ability". Though the "discontinuous" quantitative ability is often be considered more high-level than the "continuous" one. We supposed the "continuous" quantitative ability might be more useful in wild.

@benjamin_lancer @SashaPrasad_ Hi Benjamin! Thanks for your comments! As you said, we didn't remove all those "continuous cues", for example, we could not deny that our turtles might use the total surface of the stimuli to choose out the larger side.
