@EcgsOnly If stable, the patient could be treated with a modified Valsalva Manoeuvre and if treated by @swasFT would be in the #EVADESVT trial. Half of all ambulance stations in this region now have access to a Valsalva Assist Device (VAD) as standard

@Aidan_Baron @swasFT @swasFTResearch A 10% point reduction in hospital conveyance, for which EVADE is powered to detect, would pay for devices for an entire ambulance trust within 7 months. Given the delays ambulances are currently experiencing at EDs there are the wider benefits of avoiding convayance too.

Excited that as of 1st Nov the Valsalva Assist Device (VAD) will become available to @swasFT paramedics for routine treatment of #SVT. In the @EvadeStudy randomly selected stations will have the VAD stocked on ambulances and devices rolled out to all stations over next 18 months

@Aidan_Baron @swasFT @swasFTResearch No. The VAD enables a reliable and pressure controlled strain and includes instructions for an evidence based VM, easily available to paramedics who may rarely perform a VM. We shall see if this has any benefits over a syringe - That is the point of trial!
