Once again, the Indiana General Assembly passes lots of legislation to strengthen their authoritarian grip on the Hoosier State and its wealth, while passing no legislation that actually benefits the rights and financial situation of Hoosier citizens. Maybe next year, huh?
It appears that providing real tax reform for Hoosier citizens wasn't a key priority of his agenda. Maybe individual citizens will be a higher priority in 2028.
As the 2025 legislative session concludes, I want to thank our partners in the legislature for their dedication and collaboration in advancing key priorities of my Freedom and Opportunity Agenda.
You don't have universal school choice if you can only choose from government approved schools. The only way to improve K-12 education is to bust the gov't monopoly on K-12 education. Private schools are no longer private when they comply with regulations to get gov't funding.
We could have elected Jeff Maurer if not for the herd mentality. And now the "conservative" Lt Governor is asking to double his offices annual taxpayer funded budget.

It is morally and ethically wrong for Hoosier citizens to be placed on Medicaid waitlists while the IEDC engages in corporate welfare and cities like Westfield send 'delegations' overseas to negotiate global corporate welfare.
Hoosiers pay 7% sales tax when they purchase a new vehicle. Then, Indiana government taxes them annually with a vehicle excise tax when they renew their vehicle registration. How many times should you be taxed on the same item?
If the government can take your property because you can't pay your property taxes, then it isn't your property. The government owns the property and allows you to be a tenant on the property. This is just another way government has infringed upon and restricted our freedom.
SB1 is a dog and pony show that does nothing to help every day, average Hoosier homeowners and renters with out of control housing costs. The IN GOP has no intention to treat Hoosiers like free citizens.
Republicans at the Statehouse don’t care at all if you can afford to live in your home. How many times do they have to prove it to you?

@mtgent @RainwaterForIN Please read the entire post. I am proposing a 1% of purchase price cap on property taxes and an eventual lifetime limit of 7%. BTW, where does the other 50% of your budget get spent?
