Madhya Pradesh is home to the worlds largest floating solar plant. Tamil Nadu launches impressive conservation areas and has huge ambitions for renewables. Telengana has increased tree cover with 7%. @ErikSolheim India's coal consumption has gone from around 550 million Tonnes in 2009 to 966 million tonnes a year today. In 2023 China and India together consumed 62% of global coal production. India is following China in a coal fueled industrialization. just 5% of India's energy is solar
