The Asian Giants are leading the green transformation. The world´s three largest developing nations India 🇮🇳, China 🇨🇳 and Indonesia 🇮🇩 are far ahead of the West on green development. In the Gujarat desert Adani Group is building the worlds´s largest combined solar and wind plant. China is becoming the global green industry power house. Indonesia has stopped deforestation. The Asian Giants succeed because they do not focus on climate only as a problem, but as an opportunity. Taking climate action makes economic, not only ecological, sense. Asia can create jobs and prosperity, leave poverty behind, by going green. Turning to renewables is not a cost, it saves money. My op ed om why developed and developing nations should find inspiration from the Asian Giants: lnkd.in/dY-geUm7
He has no clue on Environmental damage of every project he praises.. When time comes such people go with regrets.. of making a career out of pleasing Govts by praising whatever they do.. he praised a “Sustainable “ solar cycle track in Hyderabad that replaced 1000s of trees. Unfortunate to have such prople is such positions.. if they wish.. they could have done so much good..
@ErikSolheim Asian giants are busy building green technology while the West is busy building bombs to blow up the world.
"India, leading the green transformation with the world's largest combined solar and wind plant in Gujarat. Climate action is not just ecological, it's economical. Turning to renewables isn't a cost, it's an investment in our future. #GreenIndia #RenewableEnergy #ClimateAction #AdaniPower #adanigreen #adanigreenenergy #SolarPower #India
@ErikSolheim cc:@elonmusk @Tesla , @kimbal --> wyd?
@ErikSolheim Also see today: Floating solar Panels being built on a dam were smashed due to the fury of wind . Fisherfolks had opposed the project since it impacted their fishing areas. Today - No power, no fish also !
@ErikSolheim How much food can be grown over this massive area. How many homeless could get a home here. How many wild animals were displaced here. How much energy was consumed making the panels. What is thr panel life. How is it discarded
@ErikSolheim The more countries move into this green transition, the faster the petrodollar will be over. That's why the US is trying so hard to contain these green industries in China.
@ErikSolheim We the so called third world countries have been washing west’s laundry for long. They want to outsource everything to keep their environment neat, clean and breathable and then lecture us on pollution. Asia is doing their bit but sadly west is not even interested 😡
@ErikSolheim So how do you recycle the solar panel waste after its lifespan is over done.
