Whatever your spiritual practice is now is very much the time to be really critical of who you follow and what you practice. During tough economic and political times preexisting situations worsen and we’re all vulnerable to grifters, scams, dangerous thinking and mental breaks.
I’m working with a group of young people at a secondary school to create a nature garden, are there any individuals/organisations that could donate seeds/plants and materials to help us?
Compassion is a beautiful gift, & so needed in this world. And when we give it, we get a dopamine hit as a reward. The other gift that’s also needed is empathy. Empathy is about holding space, seeking to understand others, even if we disagree. Hearing & seeing people as they are.
I hope the eclipse reminded people what it's like to be fascinated with the world around us. I hope this awe and wonder can be carried in our hearts, in spite of systems that demand our indifference.

Decided to prematurely end my West Africa Tour after 7 months and I’m so happy to be back home in London. I’m so proud of myself for solo backpacking through one of the most chaotic and challenging regions in the world. My life will never be the same again 🙏🏾

there’s such a huge disconnect between the language of science and the actual comprehension levels of these fields in the general population. i think scientists assume people know or kind of know, they don’t. yet somehow this gap of knowledge is barely being remedied
My next article will be delving deeper into the information deficit with an interesting case study that identifies its problem.
I love my new piece because I feel like it established myself as a Black environmentalist. I have struggled with integrating my Black identity with being an environmentalist, adding Black British, because I’m rarely reflected in this space.

One of the reasons organized traditions with elders, community, and initiations exist is to provide a safe, stable place with in-person support for spiritual ascension. I see people trying to run from or talk down about going the traditional route with ATRs, but it has a purpose!
Thinking that love is something earned is a ticket to perpetual spiritual sickness and deep personal unhappiness.

Carceral logics are the core root of our conflict aversion and accountability issues. Everybody wants prisons, nobody wants to be in them.
The real reason nobody wants to be “wrong” or admit mistakes/harm is bc they know how we’ve normalized treating people who are “wrong” and “bad.” Everybody wants to punish but not BE punished, so when confronted with their own behavior they lie and evade.
