Just home after a long soul-destroying day vaccinating. I’m exhausted! I don’t want to go back! Spent a day having the head torn off me by people who had to queue… for a life saving, free vaccine! Frontline workers don’t deserve the abuse they received today.

Today the visa applications of my family members were rejected by @IrelandEmbUAE stating that they don’t meet the eligibility requirements. I know these applications don’t meet your strict criteria laid down for family reunification but our families desperately need our help.1/8

Pretty sure I was the first pregnant person in Ireland to be vaccinated against covid-19. This is my healthy little boy. I was thrilled to be able to protect myself ( and him ). Best of luck to all getting their shots this week! ❤️

While so many people are (quite rightly) pushing governments to do the right thing and help India, let’s remember that 1 child in 8 won’t make it to their 5th birthday in Sierra Leone. Its not a choice but “disaster” is often conflated with “immediate disaster” in news cycles

Fleeing #conflict, & without her dad, Merhawit walked 300km across #Tigray, #Ethiopia. She carried her baby brother all 300km! She slept in bushes & "begged" for food. “I saw so many dead bodies by the road.” Her eyes grow heavy with tears. Full story to come. @UNICEF
