@Ian_OConnor I believe most Knick fans understand taking the deal & happy for Mitch. The angst is w/ Knick ownership! The 2nd apron was designed to deter the building of super teams, not hamper a team for retaining their own. It came down to willness to write the check for 1 year, then reset.

@IanBegley This should have never happened! This is not an over reaction, anyone who follows @nyknicks knows what Mitch brought to this team! Beyond short sighted impulsive bratty decision not go over for 1 year to keep their 6th man, one of one. The path to back to back just got harder!

@alanhahn Absolutely, well deserved! Now @nyknicks need to get a deal done with Big Country! He is truly special, one of one, that can't be easily replaced! He is vital to this team! in this case the player & team are a perfect fit for one another! Make it happen, if not, both will regret!

@Ian_OConnor With the 5th Pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, the New York Football @Giants select Sonny Downs (Ohio State), then w/ 10th Pick Caleb Downs. In rd 2, Guard, either Bosontis or Rutledge. Rd 4 DT Darrell Jackson or CB. Additional depth at OL & DL. RB is not a weak group for Big Blue.

@art_stapleton Sonny Styles at 5 & if Downs is there at 10, then that's the pick. Big Blue's Defense would have the potential to be truly special. Maybe Tyson. If not trade down & get additional picks. Guard in 2nd. DT, CB, WR, & additional depth on OL needed as well.

@BreakingBigBlue @PSchrags Sonny Styles is the pick at 5 for the @Giants! Take a Guard in 2nd Rd, either Bisontis or Rutledge. Maybe trade down a couple of spots if no run on Guards, & add a later pick. If they trade Dex, use one of those picks on a DT.
