In other words bands if they really wanted to put in would just call them “musical excellence” awards. And circumvent voting. Which is exactly what they did with MC5 who have been on the ballot like 6 times. Not saying they aren’t worthy. But clearly if they want to put someone in they will just do it. So let’s get @OfficialRJDio in finally !!

Sharon absolutely kept Ronnie out of the Black Sabbath induction, no one can convince me otherwise. Ronnie is without question deserving to go in. The musical excellence award is a backdoor way to get some of these artists in, most of them deserving. It is tantamount to the veteran committee in baseball. But no one is going to say Randy RHoads backdoored his into the RNHOF, he was an extraordinary musician and songwriter he carried Ozzy Osbourne along with Bob Daisley. It is too bad Ozzy was not on the ballot with Blizzard of ozz, that is who should go in.
@EddieTrunk Yeah I’m certain they’ll pull that stunt with Maiden and Motorhead one day too
@EddieTrunk I don’t know if the artists consider induction as a great accolade but it’s always a nice gesture to not wait until someone dies to do so.
@EddieTrunk It’s not really a Rock ‘N Roll Hall of Fame anymore, more of a music hall of fame. Iron Maiden not being inducted yet is a joke.
@EddieTrunk Jethro Tull, ELP, Styx, Kansas, Scorpions, and Bad Company.
@EddieTrunk Absolutely ridiculous and a travesty that Ronnie James Dio is not in!
@EddieTrunk This cat?!?!?!?!?! All Day EVERY Day♥️
@EddieTrunk Iron Maiden should’ve been in years ago
@EddieTrunk @futurerocklgnds Fully expect that to happen; and even the more traditional approach to the ME award made it a good fit for Dio given his diverse career with multiple bands. Paul Rodgers another good choice for that reason.
