Another Trump grift? Donald Trump is now trying to sell Bibles to his supporters on Truth Social. He claims that every American should own a Bible. Apparently this means Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists and atheists should own bibles. Does anyone really believe that Trump is a Christian? The man who is indicted over 80 times, and who cheated on multiple wives, including one with a porn star, certainly didn’t act like one. Do people really believe this stuff?
Muslim’s, Jew’s and Christian’s all read from the Torah as the base of our holy texts. Muslim’s also have the Injil, which is the word for the Gospel brought by Jesus from God in the Quran. They call Him Prophet Isa, pbuh. Muslim’s and especially Protestant Christian’s share a lot of base beliefs. Catholics and Muslim’s don’t reconcile because of their trinity and Mary beliefs. I read the Quran. I believe Muslim’s should read the Bible. Judaism conflicts with the New Testament but they read basically the same Old Testament as us. We just don’t read the Talmud and alternate texts they use. So I think all Abrahamic religions should observe one another, in Genesis, which we all read it declares the Kingdoms. Hinduism I still need to study. I haven’t gotten to it as much. Just a bit. I don’t see harm in reading religious texts. Dead Sea scrolls confirm it’s been the same for thousands of years as far as the Torah, so it’s a lot of the oldest written human history.
@EdKrassen Can it be called grift? He's selling exactly what he says he is. It's unseemly, but more unseemly than the shoes?
@EdKrassen This is one of the most obviously offensive grifts I’ve seen from a person running for office.
@EdKrassen He’s just in time for Easter Sunday. I wonder how many pastors will be peddling these “Trump Bibles” from the pulpit, trying to raise money for TFG? Of course, they will be violating the terms of their tax exemption status…
@EdKrassen I’m surprised the thing doesn’t burst into flames in his hand. These Bibles have probably replaced the name Jesus and Christ with “Trump” in every case… I would like some of his followers to be outraged enough at the sacrilege to change their support.
