This is just an explorative question/thought. But, is the NHS dead already? Were just holding on to it by our fingernails. Staff are done. Burnt out. Overworked, underpaid. People basically have to die to be seen for anything serious. Is it over already? #NHS

Off topic for me, i realise men have opressed women for centuries. But this attitude towards international mens day is poor. Our men are killing themselves. Our husbands, brothers, fathers, are KILLING THEMSELVES. So yes, i will be celebrating my men. #InternationalMensDay

If a dog had bilateral leg ischaemia, and was decomposing while still alive, you do the "kind" thing and put it to sleep wouldn't you. Why is it different for humans? Why do we not show the same kindness, offer the same options? #palliative #endoflife #Death #dying

I am through my probabtion period at the hospice. 🎉🎊🎉🎊 There are no other areas of nursing that drives me as much as palliative and end of life. I will be here for a very long time. Let me take care of your dying. Let me help you to rest.

Its my first day back at the hospice after three weeks off (combo of MH dip and annual leave) I was worried to come back, but we have some poorlypoorly ones and ive found myself back to giving the best care i can to the patients and their families. And i Love it. ❤️

I stayed up writing my book last night, and receieved a supportive email with hints and tips (thank you!) I like what I'm writing but doubting i can write enough of it to make a book. Anxiety over load, dont want to"bore" ppl. Dont want to seem... self important? Arrogant?

I had a chat with my 9 yr old neph about my job. Helped him understand that death doesn't have to be scary, that i help people have no pain and are surrounded by love when they die. He likes that my neighbour is "at the front door of life" (midwife) and I'm "at the back door". 🥰

My first experience of death was when i was two, my mum died in our home, with lovely nurses looking after her. Amazingly, i got to work with one of them when i started my 1st HCA job, she remembered our name 20 years on... And now i do it too. #Death #endoflife #nursing
