@MendlovitzMark As far as November goes, Bass vs. anybody = Bass wins by 15. Becerra will win with 60%+ no matter what. That is the reality of California. There is a political dynamic here one side is ignoring and complaining about while the other rolls up wins by every year by double digits.

Totally understand the frustration with the CA system. We've come along way in OH, back to a voter verification centered model, that eliminates the chaos you are experiencing. We've joined 30+ other bi-partisan states in that regard, and most of western democracies. We have a clear picture on election night, of where things stand, and that doesn't deviate much due to a lot of front end work by dedicated bipartisan election workers, and educated voters to provide sufficient verification before votes are cast and counted. In many ways, the CA system, was designed by a partisan legislature that understood exactly how universal mail voting, ballot harvesting, same day registration, extended curing periods, and post Election Day ballot receipt would interact with the state's political demos and organizational realities. That's totally fair. And as tempting as it is, I feel we should be careful about jumping from "the system favors Democrats" to "the system is fraudulent." Those are two different claims. CA D's have structural advantages before a single ballot is cast. They hold large registration advantages in places like LA County (and LA City) and Statewide. They have spent years building organizations that know how to work within the state's election laws. The GOP could legally engage in ballot collection, voter contact, cure efforts, and turnout operations under many of the same rules. The problem for the GOP is often organization and numbers, not simply access to the process. On the fraud question, I see a system that is certainly more susceptible to abuse than OH's or many others. When you mail millions of ballots, allow 3rd party ballot collection, and continue processing ballots for days or weeks, as you point out, you create more opportunities for misconduct than a system built around voter ID, fixed deadlines, verification, and Election Day Finality. But opportunity is not proof. To date, I have seen individual fraud cases, administrative errors, and vulnerabilities. I have not seen evidence of fraud on a scale to explain political outcomes. The harder truth may be that CA is a heavily D state and many R's underestimate how much of the outcome is driven by registration, demographics, and political geography rather than internet campaigns or, rather than fraud. That doesn't mean the system is beyond criticism. I would prefer cleaner voter rolls, stronger verification, shorter cure periods, and Election day receipt deadlines. In fact, the Supreme Court may soon weigh in on one of the biggest issues. In Watson v. RNC, the Court is considering whether states can count ballots received after Election Day. According to Mark Penn, 72% believe the US is winning in Iran, most believe preventing Iron from obtaining a nuclear weapon as a primary US national interest. Support for Israel over Hamas stands at 72% to 28%. Voters are sticking to their basic party positions rather than switching sides, despite what's observed as success or not on a policy. There is less volitility in voters, meaning less volitility in midterms as we saw in 2022. Wave elections are localized. Voters might be unhappy with this or that, or happy, but because of the partisanship, they are remaining loyal to their respective parties regardless of the circumstances. This also is why developing a strategy that revolves around younger voters, who are not as attached to party ID is very risky. They are less likely to show up. Especially in this environment. Smart people see this.
