Extreme cold & high energy demand continues to strain the grid. Please continue conserving energy and consider shutting nonessential lights until 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 26 to avoid possible rotating outages. We are grateful for your efforts. Be safe. Info: spr.ly/60113zfD5
@DukeEnergy I'm confused. Aren't the GRAND MAJORITY of businesses closed today. So the power use should be less. Sounds like a excuse to start rolling blackouts in the poor areas.
@DukeEnergy This weather is not extreme. North Carolina has had this type of weather many times before with no issues. I am convinced this is a generation supply problem. Tell us which plants are offline and why. Has early coal phase-out contributed to this?
@DukeEnergy How about you please consider upgrading the grid and doing away with less efficient production sources like solar and wind?
@DukeEnergy I just turned my heat up again #ElectricVehicles #vote #CovidIsntOver
@DukeEnergy Rate increases are not justified for obvious reasons! The people demand reliable electricity in all weather conditions.. Extreme high and low temperatures are normal.. We demand more power generation! Nuclear ☢️!
@DukeEnergy why are you lying to your customers,, we use more energy in the summer months then we use in the winter time, when many have there air on 24/7 over there heat on just a few days ,
@DukeEnergy Businesses are closed today so there is a LOT LESS electricity usage. Doing rolling blackouts in bitter cold weather is just flat out wrong to do!
@DukeEnergy So what happens when we all have electric vehicles?
@DukeEnergy How much would you guys bet that @DukeEnergy CEO's family got to enjoy a huge warm house for Christmas. My family didn't. I had 2 extended power outages in 2 days. Would any of these blackouts affect @DukeEnergy board members or do they just do it to middle-class or poor people?
