What we're seeing in the NBA playoffs: If you're a 2-4, you have to be able to dribble/pass/shoot/defend. Period. If you're exclusively an off-ball scorer or spot-up guy, regardless of potential defensive limitations, you're putting so much more burden on your star creators.

Also don’t tell me role players don’t matter. Those threes from Haywood Highsmith tonight have been as big as any other shots in the game. Having players who can step up and contribute more than their average in big games is so crucial to winning at the highest level!!!

Far too many people underestimated the Wolves to win this series because of regular season results. Wolves are built for a playoff series like this. Size and defense with enough guys who can dribble, pass, shoot. Suns have scorers but are missing too much of the other stuff.

The NBA has become more about the margins than ever before. You can't just pay 3 mega stars and expect to fill out with minimum guys or players with limited skill sets and call it a day for a title. Either pay 2 stars and fill out more depth, or improve in the margins like BOS.
I feel like I've watched the same 76ers offense now for four years in a row in the playoffs. Ball movement becomes stagnant, nothing but Embiid and co-star X having to take tough shots because teammates/the ball don't swing and move. So much volatility.
This pick is probably out the door for Philly in trade, but there are some guys in that range that could help the team as early as next season.

Cannot emphasize enough the complete agreement with this sentiment.
Phoenix tried to show you do not need a point guard which was bad. They have bucket getters but no flow, no easy paint touch or dump offs. No organizer to get easy offense. Everything hard on Book, KD, and Beal you need a point guard to control tempo and feed them easy looks🤷♂️
List of ultimate connector pieces. Low-usage wings who take care of the ball and stand out with their efficiency on all three levels. Jalen Bridges is the outcome. A guy I was high on before the 2023 NBA Draft, but who I haven't spent much time watching this season.

NEWS: Thierry Darlan has entered the 2024 NBA Draft, he told ESPN. Darlan, a 6'7, 20-year old guard who graduated from the NBA Academy Africa, spent this past season with G League Ignite. Has had some strong performances of late in the NBA's BAL qualifiers with Bangui SC.
